Odyssey 9-12

1. Odyssey 9-12 Commentary, 2nd edition (21 mb pdf, 2nd ed. August 2020).

The 1st edition is out of print. If you plan to purchase a copy of the 2nd edition, please make sure that you are buying the 2nd edition and not accidentally picking up a used copy of the 1st edition.

2. Translation Sheets: Book 9  Books 10, Book 11, Book 12

These .pdf files (8 x 11.5 in.) include the Greek text for Books 9-12 in the left column (30 lines per page, double-spaced) and lined spaces in the right column for students to write out their translations and make annotations. This sheet will encourage students who use the commentary to stay organized as they prepare assignments.

3. Odyssey 9-12 Running Core Vocabulary PowerPoints (.zip, .ppt. 482 kb)

These five presentations contain the running core vocabulary flashcards. Readers must download the SPIonic font (free online) to view the slides. A free PowerPoint viewer is available from Microsoft.com.

4.  Odyssey 9-12 Running Core Vocabulary Flashcards (.zip, .jpg) (10 mb)

This .zip file contains five folders of .jpg images that cover all running core vocabulary. Within the folders are paired .jpg flashcards (see the examples below) for all of the core vocabulary words. View these on a computer or upload them as photos onto an ipod, smartphone, or similar device and view them sequentially.

5. Odyssey 9-12 Alphabetized Core Vocabulary PowerPoints (.zip, .ppt. 518 kb)

These five presentations contain flashcard slides for all five pages  of the alphabetized core vocabulary in the 9-12 commentary (pp. 230-234). Readers must download the SPIonic font (free online) to view these slide shows. A free PowerPoint viewer is available from Microsoft.com.

6.  Odyssey 9-12 Alphabetized Core Vocabulary Flashcards (11.5 mb, .zip, .jpg)

This .zip file contains five folders of jpg images corresponding to the five pages of core vocabulary (pp. 230-234) in #2 above.     Hello!
    I think I found a mistake in your Odyssey 11 commentary. Your line 126 note says λήσει should be from λαμβάνω, but I think it is really from λανθάνω. It’s about how the mound is so apparent it will not escape Odysseus’ notice.
    You should check it! Let me know what you think! I appreciate all your hard work; I love your commentaries because they are so incredibly user friendly and convenient!
